Delete your account
You can delete your Tapas Talk account and everything attached to it yourself, from inside the app. It takes about thirty seconds and it does not need us.
From inside the app
- Open Tapas Talk and go to the Settings tab.
- Scroll to the Account section.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm. If you signed in with Google or Apple, you will be asked to sign in once more first — that is your platform checking it is really you, and we never see the password.
The deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. There is no grace period and no way for us to restore it afterwards.
What gets deleted
Everything we hold that is tied to your account:
- Your account itself, and the sign-in linked to it
- Learning progress — chapters, levels, XP, streaks, word mastery
- Medals, collectibles and review schedules
- Your pronunciation credit balance and its transaction history
- Any support conversation you had with us in the app, and its messages
- Any chapters generated for you
- Your push notification token
What we cannot delete, and why
- Purchases. Your purchase record belongs to Apple or Google, not to us. Deleting your account does not refund a purchase and does not remove it from your Apple or Google account.
- Voice recordings. There is nothing to delete. Audio is sent for scoring, scored, and discarded — we never store it, so it is not attached to your account in the first place.
- Anonymous feedback. If you reported a problem with a lesson or requested a topic, that text is kept without your identity attached and cannot be traced back to you to remove.
- Backups and logs. Operational backups roll off on their own schedule, within 30 days.
If you have already deleted the app
Uninstalling does not delete your account — reinstalling and signing in would bring your progress back. If you would rather not reinstall just to delete, email support@keedastudios.com from the address you signed in with and ask us to delete it. We will confirm once it is done, normally within a few working days and always within 30.
Just want to stop the notifications?
You do not have to delete anything. Reminders can be turned off in Settings → Reminders, and you can sign out without deleting — your progress waits for you.
